What's It Like Being Married to Gwen Stefani?
Ever wondered what it would be like being married to an icon like Gwen Stefani? Well according to her gorgeous hubby Gavin Rossdale, "It's like marrying three different people a week, because you never know who's going to come out of the bathroom."
Although her fans adore every version of Gwen, Gavin insists his favorite is "Her five minute look. She looks perfect unmade-up."

Christina unveiled herself a bit telling Seventeen magazine: "Thank God for my first record: I was able to get my foot in the door with a [CD] that wasn't so much me but has given me the freedom to do what I want to now."
Married to a man who embraces her individuality, Christina is undoubtedly growing increasingly comfortable in her own skin. Christina proudly says of her husband Jordan, "He's my best friend and he's my backbone and number one supporter. ...He's a very real, down-to-earth person. When he walks into a room, his energy is so calm and peaceful, like you wouldn't even know he was there. He's a great balance for me." (Seventeen, September 2006, p. 179)

Gwen Stefani Gives Back
Gwen Stefani is more than just a music and fashion mogul. She's a philanthropist. She is donating $166,000 from her Oct. 30th San Diego concert to scholarships for student who lost their homes in the fires there this past fall.
The Gwen Stefani After-the-Fires Scholarship will be open to college students and graduating high school seniors who lost their homes or their source of income in the October fires, which killed at least 10 people and destroyed more than 1,700 homes.
The scholarship application deadline is Jan. 28, so get crackin on those essays!

Not only is Christina more relaxed, but her new song "Save Me From Myself" shows that she is also becoming increasingly self-aware. Christina candidly admitted, "I think a lot of us can act as our own worst enemies at times, digging ruts for ourselves and making things out to be worse than they really are."
We all experience bad feelings at times, during which if we isolate ourselves can feel as if we're being sucked into a black hole. It is important to have loved ones and solid people to whom we can turn. Thankfully Christina has found the light in her hubby Jordan.
When I was going through a dark time following my divorce a couple years ago (which resulted from my ex-wife cheating on me), I happened to see an article about Christina on a Rolling Stone magazine. It talked about her brutal break-up with her first boyfriend who proved to be quite the player. Some friends helped Christina through it by taking her into the kitchen of a restaurant where they told her to break some champagne glasses and release her anger. As Christina broke the champagne glasses she felt somewhat of an emotional breakthrough. It was this article that inspired my new book "Breakthrough for a Broken Heart."

Elle Magazine with Gwen Stefani
Platinum pop star Gwen Stefani talks about her hit addiction, yodeling fantasies, and how she kicked her Madonna habit. Now she prepares to conquer the world, with baby in tow.
You know the story: Blonde Italian-American pop diva, music video emience, and all-round material girl marries a Brit artiste and moves to England. The relationship hits some bumps along the way, but a baby boy ensues and celebrity life keeps rolling. “It is weird that we have all these similarities,” Gwen Stefani allows as she nestles on a couch in one of the many rooms her entourage has taken in London’s Landmark hotel in mid-November. With a voice that hovers somewhere between sultry and Kewpie doll, the singer has a knack for sounding about seven years old: “Madonna’s had us over to dinner and stuff, and she’s always been very nice to me.”

Christina's "Fighter" song was a personal favorite of mine as I bounced back from my personal setback. Today like Christina I have stepped back into the light and found the love of my life. Whereas Christina used music throughout her life to escape the abuse, I have found writing to be therapeutic and healing. Settled in security is a wonderful place to be emotionally and relationally.

Stefani, by contrast, will lose her flat
Undeniably, there is a scale to Madge’s assult on the Old Country, everything from the horsey rural estate to the creeping mid-Atlantic accent. Stefani, by contrast, will lose her flat, half-swallowed Californian vowels when hell freezes over, and anyway, she hasn’t even truly relocated to England; she and Brit rocker husband Gavin Rossdale have for the past 10 years split thier time between the house in London’s tony Primrose Hill (neighbors on either side are Jude Law and his ex, Sadie Frost) and a manse in L.A..
But if Madonna does it bigger, it is no longer hersey to suggest that musically, Stefani does it every bit as well. After 17 years of fronting the redoubtable rock/ska/reggae band No Doubt (she should make the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on the strengh of one immortal break-up tune alone, “Don’t Speak”), Stefani took the solo plunge. Her 2004 giddy confession of dance tunes Love. Angel. Music. Baby. went triple platinum. (”I remember telling Madonna I was going to do an ’80s dance record,” Stefani says, “and she rolled her eyes, because I think when you’ve lived through it like she did, she’s like ‘Whatever.’ But alot of my influences came from her early work, like directly, like a Xerox.”) That album spawned one monster single, “Hollaback Girl,” a saucy cheerleader chant that taught teenage girls how to spell the word bananas and simultaneously established Stefani’s urban street cred as a white suburban rapper comfortable with the “S” word and with pop-hop notables the Neptunes’ marital beats.
