On January 5, 2011 Selena Gomez and her band The Scene performed their hit single “A Year Without Rain” for the crowd at the People’s Choice Awards event. After Selena’s performance she was handed an award for Favorite Breakout Artist.Jake T. Austin, Selena’s co-star from her Disney Channel Original Series “Wizards of Waverly Place,” took to Twitter to congratulate her.
