The actress along with Safia, People Tree’s founder, and Misato, People Tree’s designer, started working on the Spring 2011 line last year up in Rhode Island just after Watson, 20, stated classes at Brown University. Matter of fact, she's actually been pretty hands on with People Tree since she signed on as the face of the Fairtrade brand in September 2009. But that's because she believes in the principal and power behind sustainable fashion.
"Fashion is a great way to empower people and give them skills; rather than give cash to charity you can help people by buying the clothes they make and supporting things they take pride in," she recently told a fashion publication. " I think young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian issues surrounding fast fashion and want to make good choices but there aren't many options out there.
