Beyonce Knowles Make-up Tips

Beyonce Knowles at the premiere of 'Austin Powers in Goldmember'

After moisturizing, apply concealer to the inner corners of the eyes and underneath to cover dark circles. Apply a small amount of concealer to the eyelid for a base foundation before applying shadow.

Use a foundation shade as close to your natural skin tone as possible and apply to any other areas of the face that need evening out. Blend well.

Alternatively, you can use a subtle bronzer evenly over the entire face if you want to go all out for that golden look.

Use a peach or terracotta shade of blush, depending upon which compliments your skintone better. You should apply your blush in the style that best suits your face. Round faces look better with blush applied to the apple of the cheek, while narrower faces can take blush on the cheekbone. Apply blush one light layer at a time until you have a delicate glow.

EYES
Eyelid Apply a shimmery gold from the lid to the crease. Sweep around and ring the entire eye with shadow.
Crease Apply a terracotta or chestnut shade in a pearl formula in the crease from corner to corner. Blend well.
Hilite Apply just a dot of the same gold that you used on your lids just below the brow and blend well.

Eyeliner

Choose a medium or dark brown powder liner or eyeshadow. Use a wet brush dipped in the powder to apply.

Apply a thin line to the top lash line, from corner to corner. Use a light touch and get the color in between the lashes. You can try dotting your way across the lashline and then going back and filling in to create one continuous line.
Repeat all the way around the eye, top and bottom lashes, until your lashline is nicely filled in, without allowing the line to get too heavy.

Finally, trace a thin, delicate line around the inner corners of the eyes for a really professional look.

Brows

Use a brow wax, with a small brush to shape and fill in, or pencil. Start by defining the arch and then fill in the rest as necessary. Lashes Curl lashes and coat two or three times with a black, lengthening mascara.

If you really want to achieve this look, like Beyonce, you'll need upper and lower false lashes. Find the "spikey" kind for the upper lashes. Use inividual lashes for the lower lid. This takes practice, so be sure to practice a couple of times beforehand. Once false lashes have set, you can use an eyelash curler to blend them into your own lashes a little bit more.

LIPS
To get glass-smooth lips, try brushing them very gently with an old, soft toothbrush. Then apply petroleum jelly and allow it to soak in for 30 or more minutes.

Choose a matching lipliner and lipstick in a golden orange or peach. Find a shade that coordinates nicely with your blush and compliments your skin tone.

Apply one coat of the lipstick and blot with tissue, then apply a second coat. Then, line the lips if necessary. Cover your lips with a coat or two of clear or frosty gloss.

Medium Hairstyle

The medium haircut is usually considered to be that one that sits on or just above the shoulder. This haircut is one of the most common today, popular among teens, young women and even middle aged women. The medium length hair is one that has the widest range of hairstyles to choose from to compliment any face, any age and any occasion. The medium hairstyle has in fact been touted as the only hairstyle that is both professional and chic.

The layered hairstyle is a favorite among women with medium haircuts, and is in fact one of the most popular hairstyles of both the professional woman and the housewife. The layered look is easy to style and easy to maintain. For the office, the medium layered hair can be combed down or flipped in to create a look that is professional but soft. The medium layered hair can also be easily clipped up or held back in a clean ponytail while in the office and simply shaken loose on the way to a lunch date. It can be flipped out to go to a party or pinned up to go to a wedding. The layered look is indeed one of the most versatile medium hairstyles available to a woman.

Another trendy medium hairstyle is the razor edged cut hairstyle. This medium hairstyle is similar to that of the layered hairstyle, particularly the flipped out look of the medium layered hairstyle, but has the advantage of being versatile enough that the entire length of the hair remains one length. The razor edged cut is also a funkier look than the straightforward layered haircut, and it does allow a bit more variation in its styling because it maintains the length of the hair throughout the body (no layers). The razor edged hair can be styled in a side path or a center path, but regardless of how you choose to wear this haircut, you need to carefully comb your hair outwards to maintain that razor edged look.

The medium length hair can also be creatively bob-styled while still maintaining the length of the hair. It incorporates both the layered and razor edged styles to create a uniquely different look that is also convenient to maintain and flattering enough for any occasion. This is a look that is favored by the less conventional younger woman. It is however not ideal for the professional look since it cannot all be swept up in a clean ponytail or bun (the acceptable hairstyle for the professional look).

Another versatility of the medium length hair is that is could be easily pulled up into a number of very fashionable and trendy styles ideal for the wedding event or any other special occasion event - regardless of if your hair is naturally straight, wavy or curly. Soft curls and side bangs soften a severe hairstyle regardless of the occasion (not recommended for the professional woman though).

Beyonce wants to lasso the role of Wonder Woman

02:05 PM PT, Nov 7 2008

EXCLUSIVE

Wonder_woman_by_alex_ross Beyonce_photo_by_kevork_djansezian_

Beyoncé is ready for an Amazon-sized challenge -- the pop superstar wants to be the first actress to wear Wonder Woman's famed red, white and blue bathing suit on the silver screen.

"I want to do a superhero movie and what would be better than Wonder Woman? It would be great. And it would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It's time for that, right?"

Beyoncé says that she has met with representatives of DC Comics and Warner Bros. to express her interest in a major role in one of the many comic-book adaptations now in the pipeline following the massive success of "The Dark Knight," "Iron Man" and the "Spider-Man" and "X-Men" franchises. Beyoncé's acting to career to date has included a comedic role in "Austin Powers in Goldmember" and two notable music world roles, the first as a quasi-Diana Ross character in "Dreamgirls" and as the defiant and heroin-addicted Etta James in the upcoming "Cadillac Records."

"After doing these roles that were so emotional I was thinking to myself, 'OK, I need to be a superhero,'" Beyoncé told me this week when I met her for an interview in a suite atop the Rivington Hotel in New York. "Although, when you think about the psychology of the heroes in the films these days, they are still a lot of work, of course, and emotional. But there's also an action element that I would enjoy."

Beyoncé is in amazing shape right now

The recent success of sophisticated comic-book adaptations is the main reason for Beyoncé's interest, she said, but her focus on Wonder Woman was intensified earlier this year when she saw Lynda Carter's costume from the 1970s television show on display at the Costume Institute’s “Superhero” show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Beyoncé is in amazing shape right now (she had gained more than 20 pounds for the James role and came back from that leaner than before), but she said the Wonder Woman costume is an unforgiving one.

"I would definitely have to keep it right for that costume. The way that Lynda Carter wore it, she was sooo fine. She was amazing. I saw her costume at the Met. Her waist was unbelievable. It was pretty crazy, actually, her proportions. But I love Wonder Woman and it'd be a dream come true to be that character. It sure would be handy to have that lasso. To make everybody tell the truth? I need that. It would come in very handy."

The 27-year-old Houston native also recently finished work on the Scott Shill thriller "Obsessed" and, in her role as a woman whose husband is being stalked, she got her first experience with a staging a brawl for the camera.

Megan Fox Gets Licky For British GQ

Let's all forget about Megan Fox's appearance at the MTV Movie Awards. She had definitely redeemed herself in the upcoming July issue of British GQ. She looks absolutely breathtaking in her photospread. Our favorite quote from the mag? "My only job is to get up, take a shower, do my hair, and look attractive." At least she's honest. Vanessa Hudgens excited with HSM3!

Our favorite High School Musical cutie has been all over Los Angeles gyms these past few days, and fans can't help but wonder, "Is she toning up for High School Musical 3?" Maybe yes, maybe no. But I'm sure Vanessa Hudgens is all set (physically and mentally) to film the third installment of her and Zac Efron's popular for-TV Disney movie. According to reports filming for HSM3 will begin this coming February, and Vanessa Hudgens with director Kenny Ortega couldn't be more thrilled about it! Says the adorable V at the American Music Awards: "I am so very excited!

To do a third one for the big screen, I can't begin to think how much fun we'll have." The HSM (1 to 3) director also shared Vanessa Hudgens' excitement. He told PEOPLE magazine at the 15th Annual Diversity Awards that "We're all verbally committed, and we're all very hopeful of doing this. We want to do this, and we're going to have some new characters arriving at East High. That'll be fun, mix it up a little bit." Oooh, new characters! Maybe a new girl that will steal Zac from V?? Can't hardly wait!!!

Beyonce: "I play a wife fighting for her family and I have this big

The 27-year-old Houston native also recently finished work on the Scott Shill thriller "Obsessed" and, in her role as a woman whose husband is being stalked, she got her first experience with a staging a brawl for the camera.

Lynda_carter_as_wonder_woman"I play a wife fighting for her family and I have this big, big fighting scene with Ali Larter, who is an incredible actress. It took us days just to film it. I had my boots on and, wow, I got into it. So I really want that now. Now I have to do an action film. It's like dancing and choreography. And the superhero movies now, they're not corny, not corny at all, so that's what I want to do. And I would love if it could be Wonder Woman."

It''s not clear if anyone will be able to deliver a Wonder Woman project anytime soon, however. The heroine, who debuted in 1941, is by far the most iconic superhero who has yet to reach theaters. Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Hulk and the Fantastic Four have all had multiple bites at the Hollywood apple and Captain America and Captain Marvel, both of whom were featured in 1940s serials, have adaptations now in the pipeline, as do Thor, Flash and Green Lantern.

"Catwoman" and "Elektra" both fizzled at the box office, which certainly didn't help the cause of female costumed characters as properties. In 2005, Warner Bros. announced with some fanfare that Joss Whedon of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fame would bring the pride of Paradise Island to the screen but even his considerable affinity for strong female characters didn't help him deliver a script that stirred studio chiefs. Still, earlier this year Warner president Jeff Robinov said that a solo Wonder Woman project remains one of the studio's future plans as it mines the DC library.

If not Wonder Woman, what other character, either Marvel or DC, could Beyoncé want to portray? With a laugh, she said: "I'm open to suggestions!"

Snap Judgment: Beyoncé's 'If I Were a Boy' and 'Single Ladies'

Beyoncé may be a married lady now, but she's still all caught up in the drama of love's first glances and final door slams. It's refreshing that she's staying in character: When artists such as Mary J. Blige start making music about how happy they are with their chubby hubbies, it may be sincere, but it also serves the function of feeding the tabloids. Beyoncé and her Hova have always kept business and pleasure separate, which imparts dignity to their relationship -- and lets her be an artist first, a personality second.

Beyoncé 's emotional reserve also allows for hits that still appeal to her core fan base of independent women. "Irreplaceable" was a masterpiece of that ilk, the finger-wagging summation of mercenary, "Sex and the City"-style post-feminism. That song made Beyoncé pop's Chairwoman of the Board, as worldly wise and merciless about love as Sinatra was in the wee small hours of the morning.
