Many are crediting the increased number of breastfed babies to the support of the breastfeeding mother in the workplace. Colorado law states that: "an employer shall provide reasonable break time for an employee to express breast milk for her nursing child for up to two years after the child's birth. The employer shall make reasonable efforts to provide a place, other than a toilet stall, for the employee to express breast milk in privacy.
Celebrities like Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie have also increased awareness of the importance of breastfeeding. Both have made very public breastfeeding displays, Angelina on the magazine cover above and Salma went even further by breastfeeding a sick African child. See the video of Salma below.
