The story follows a working-class man who saves the life of a businesswoman. She rewards him by hiring him to run her company, much to the chagrin of her wealthy family. No word on what the US version will be called, but it kind of sounds like Dirty Dancing (really any other class-conscious romance) but without the dancing, so do we care?
Hayek has tapped her Betty writers to pen this show as well. Do you think it can carry the weight that America Ferrera's immensely likeable Betty held on her tacky shoulder pads? Or is this one gonna get axed after a few episodes?
