Both Salma and Bhavna were on the jury of the Doha Tribeca Film Festival last week along with English actor Nick Moran (of Lock Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels fame) and the Bosnian director Danis Tanovic of (No Man's Land fame).
It was the two girls on the jury who whooped it up to the hilt.
Says a source, "Bhavna and Salma hit it off instantly. Salma has lately becoming very attached to India and Indian cinema. She bombarded Bhavna with questions on Bollywood and Indian spiritualism. Salma is insatiably curious. That's how their bonding began. For the next two days, Salma and Bhavna were inseparable. They shopped and partied in Doha until they were exhausted and parted on the promise that Bhavna will send her female-oriented script to Salma in the next one month.
Apparently, Salma Hayek loves to kick off her high heels and have a good time. Bhavna found herself being sloshed and dragged to the dance floor by the naughty hottie during those two days in Doha.
Laughs Doha, "I'm not revealing any of the details. We two girls had ourselves a ball. Men were not allowed. Salma is so much fun. In spite of her head-turning looks, she is not the least self-conscious about the stares. In fact she's far more chilled-out and fun-loving than a lot of our heroines in Bollywood who hide behind sunglasses even in the night."
Bhavna whose first two films Dharm and now Happi were male-centric, is now in the process of completing a female-oriented script.
