So far Coldplay, fronted by Chris Martin, were confirmed for the show on Monday, February 7. U2 has been a rumored headliner of the festival for quite awhile, especially after lead singer Bono had to pull out of the 2010 slot that they had been scheduled to perform in.
He said, “There’s an American artist that I’ve been wanting to have for years.” This caused quite the media frenzy, ending with many outlets claiming that Knowles will be the mystery guest.
This would be the first time that the artist has performed at the giant festival. She did make an appearance at the show in 2008, when her husband Jay-Z was a headlining act.
