Katy Perry And Other Stars Tweet Support For Queensland Cyclone Yasi Victims

The stars are tweeting their support for Queensland residents feeling the brunt of Cyclone Yasi.

Pop superstar Katy Perry said:

"Praying for safety & peace in Australia & Egypt, join me!"

Aussie star Guy Sebastian is also praying, tweeting:

"Praying for QLD, just not fair."

Former TV host Rove McManus says: "I may be far away but am still very much thinking of everyone in Queensland bracing themselves for cyclone Yasi. Stay safe."

Australia's Next Top Model host Sarah Murdoch yesterday tweeted:

"Yasi upgraded to category 5. My thoughts with everyone there. Can't imagine how frightening this is."

And lastly, Veronica's star Lisa Origliasso has been quite vocal, especially after her and sister Jessica were with family witnessing the destruction from the recent Queensland floods, wihich devastated parts of their home town of Brisbane.

Lisa says she's "Heartbroken and humbled by mother nature."

Origliasso also tweeted her thoughts on the news coverage of Cyclone Yasi.

"Is watching reporters in the middle of a storm + dodging debris going above and beyond to keep Oz 'informed'? Or tactless exploitation?"

North Queensland residents are still feeling the after effects of the cyclone and reports say it's still too early to tell how much damage has been done.
