Avril Lavigne is one of the top female stars appearing on Wednesday's edition of The Oprah Winfrey Show. The show is called "Rock Goddesses," and in addition to Avril, you'll also see Miley Cyrus, Sheryl Crow, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, Stevie Nicks and Salt N' Pepa.
A rep for the show tells ABC News Radio that Avril will perform "Love Is a Battlefield" with Pat Benatar, while Miley will sing a medley of Joan Jett hits with Joan, including "Bad Reputation" and "I Hate Myself for Loving You." Sheryl and Stevie duet on "Landslide," Salt 'n Pepa perform a medley of their hits including "Whatta Man" and "Shoop," and everyone joins in an all-star finale version of "We Are Family," led by the song's original artist, Sister Sledge.Meanwhile, Avril has announced that she's starting her Goodbye, Lullaby tour in Beijing, China on April 30th. So far, she's only announced Asian dates: in addition to China, her website says she's also performing in South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia and Taiwan, while Pollstar.com reports she's got additional shows booked in Japan in May.
No word yet on when Avril's tour will get to North America, but she says that it'll be different from her last one. She explains, "It'll most likely be a little more intimate. I'll rock out and have a good time with the band, but I want to also kinda strip it down a little more." In order to reflect the more mellow and personal nature of her Goodbye, Lullaby album, Avril says, "I'll probably play a lot more piano and have some acoustic breakdowns and do some fun stuff that way. I really want it to be all about the music and the vocal performance."
