Selena Gomez has a message to everyone concerned about her IHOP date with teen heartthrob Justin Bieber: "It was just pancakes!"
The 18-year-old Disney star told UsMagazine.com that the pair's Dec. 8 outing was a sweet one – just not in a romantic way.
"It was pancakes! Oh my gosh!" she told the site Friday, at Z100's Jingle Ball concert at Madison Square Garden.
Gomez and the 16-year-old Bieber had been photographed leaving a Philadelphia International House of Pancakes arm-in-arm, after reportedly holding hands inside the restaurant.But Gomez is insistent that the "Baby" singer is simply "one of my best friends" and nothing more.
