Mila Kunis makes a casual coffee run to Starbucks in her sweatpants on Friday (February 11) in Studio City, Calif.
The 27-year-old Black Swan star, who graces the cover of W magazine’s March issue, recollected immigrating to the United States from Ukraine when she was 7 1/2 years old.
Asked what was the first thing she remembered about America, Mila shared, “A black man. It was at the American embassy [in Moscow], and all I had known were Caucasian people with blond hair, brunette hair, and sometimes red hair.”
“You’re never really taught about anything else. I think I was frightened. And the beautiful thing was, the man spoke Russian,” she told W. “He explained to me that there are people in this world who are of different color. Being seven and a half, I asked him, ‘Does that mean there are purple people in this world?’”
