Emma Watson's Harry Potter character Hermione Granger has been voted the most popular fictional dream date for teenage readers. The 20-year-old actress has played the role of bushy-haired witch Hermione in every one of the hit movies, with the last installment set to be released later this year.
The survey was carried out by Opinion Matters and 1,583 adults and 505 teenagers were asked their views to mark World Book Day.
Hermione beat off competition from Taylor Lautner's Twilight character Jacob Black, who was in second place, while Robert Pattinson's character Edward Cullen came in third place.
Rachel Russell, from World Book Day 2011, said: 'In the year that World Book day is focusing on helping teenagers celebrate books and reading, it's interesting to see what tastes and traits young readers today share with readers of the past.'
