Selena Gomez Announces 2011 Summer Tour Dates

While her boyfriend Justin Bieber is traveling across the globe, Selena Gomez will visit big cities across North American for a tour to support her upcoming second studio album. The Disney songstress is going to kick off the gig this summer on July 28 at Mizner Park Amphitheatre in Boca Raton, FL, and wrap it up on September 12 at Western Washington Fair in Puyallup, WA.

"[I] cannot explain how excited I am to finally be putting on a full tour for all of you. I cannot wait to see you out on the road!" Selena shared her excitement to her Twitter followers shortly after the dates were announced. She has tapped the boys from Allstar Weekend as her supporting act throughout the tour.

Selena previously told Ryan Seacrest that she plans a Britney Spears tribute. Explaining her love for the "Hold It Against Me" hitmaker, she said Britney's show was the first concert she ever went to. She recalled, "I got the T-shirt and glow stick. and I just remember it being the highlight of my life! I felt like I was on cloud nine!"
In a more recent interview with MTV, Selena teased more about what she has in stores for this upcoming tour. "Were gonna do a little tribute. We're gonna do her hits, ' ... Baby One More Time,' and then I think we're going to try to incorporate 'Toxic' and that phase," she gushed. "And then we might do some of her recent, new stuff."

Selena Gomez, Paul Rodgers added to Pacific lineup

our more dates on Pacific Amphitheatre's five-week roster have been filled in, with the names split between current stars and classic-rock mainstays.

In the former category, 18-year-old tween-pop princess Selena Gomez, who just played a benefit show at Gibson Amphitheatre with Jonas Brothers (that's where the pic comes from), will head to the Costa Mesa venue on July 24 to perform with her band the Scene. Tickets are $27.50-$69.50.

At the other end of the spectrum, psychobilly favorite Tiger Army will take a break from its typically exclusive Octoberflame bashes at the Grove to co-headline Pacific on July 30 with roots-rock forebears the Blasters. Those tickets are $19.50-$39.50.

And for the KLOS fans there are two new offerings: Paul Rodgers, once again solo after brief stints with Queen and Bad Company, who performs July 27, as well as the return of Pat Benatar and guitarist husband Neil Giraldo, Aug. 3. Tickets for either show are $19.50-$49.50.

All four gigs go on sale Saturday, March 26, at 10 a.m., though a pre-sale for Gomez starts Wednesday at that same time. As always, you can avoid Ticketmaster service fees by buying directly at the Pacific box office, which is open Thursday-Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All tickets include day-of-show admission to the OC Fair, which runs July 15 to Aug. 14.
