On Monday, rumours littered the web claiming that R&B singer Usher Raymond is in the ruckus over a leaked sex tape that allegedly features his ex-wife, Tameka, Foster. According to gossip site TMZ, they were offered a tape which allegedly shows Usher in bed with his ex.
Although the father of two boys had separated from their mother in 2009, the tape is only coming out now and he has said nothing to deny or confirm these rumours.
The site also claims that the tape could be one of the things worth more than $1m (R7m) that were stolen from the 32-year-old singer’s car, when it was broken into in 2009.

Former Springbok Joost van der Westhuizen holds the trophy locally for his scandalous sex tape that was leaked to Heat magazine in February 2009. In the video he was seen sitting in his underwear while he frolicked with a blonde girl, who had a camera in her bag, as they were seen snorting a white substance. Although he denied being in the video, he later admitted in his book that it was him.
Hotel heiress Paris Hilton’s sex tape, which was later sold under the dubious title One Night in Paris, made the rounds in 2004, three years after it was filmed, featuring her then boyfriend Rick Salomon. Later, when Hilton reportedly said she was “out of it and didn’t know what she was doing”, Salomon sued her for defamation of character.
Kendra Wilkinson of Girls Of The Playboy Mansion tried to block her sex tape from distribution last year but it soon made it on to the internet. The tape was shot in 2003 and showed the 18 year old before she had breast implants.
Better known as Austin Powers’s Mini-Me than as a sex god, Verne Troyer’s tape was released in June 2008, which he had shot with his live-in girlfriend, Ranae Shrinder. They had filmed it during the Easter holidays at the Raffles L’Ermitage hotel. Troyer never saw this coming – his girlfriend leaked it to TMZ when they broke up.
Brothers and Sisters actor Rob Lowe started filming himself having sex earlier than most celebrity stars. His sex tape shot in the 1980s almost got him into trouble because it was with two girls, one of whom was underage.
Reality TV star Tila Tequila’s sex tapes were marketed by adult film company Vivid Entertainment and showed her having intercourse with other women.
Reality star Kim Kardashian has many ways of raking in cash, one being suing Vivid Entertainment for $5m for having distributed a sex tape of her and her then boyfriend singer Ray J. The two dated in 2007 and filmed themselves doing the deed when it leaked; Kardashian ended up settling out of court and bagged the millions for herself.
Actor Collin Farrell and Nicole Narain have a 13-minute sex tape, and the actor confirmed it by getting a court order to block people from selling it. But copies of the tape surfaced on the internet in January 2006.
Actress Pamela Anderson has a honeymoon sex tape of her with her then husband, rocker Tommy Lee. Anderson and Poison band member Bret Michaels’s sex tape was released in 2005.
Was it a publicity stunt, were the tapes genuinely stolen or were they leaked by the stars’ lovers? Only the stars really know – we hope it’s not a PR stunt.
