Emma Roberts On 'Spider-Man' Casting Rumors: 'You Never Know!'

Sometimes, the most effective way for an actor to deal with casting rumors is to play a little game called "Yes, No and You Never Know." The rules are simple: when asked a question, the talent either replies with "yes," "no" or "you never know." Oftentimes, the truth lies somewhere between a confirmation and a denial — which is exactly where the "you never know" option comes in handy.When MTV News spoke with actress Emma Roberts while promoting "It's Kind of a Funny Story," the two unwittingly fell into this game of back-and-forths. When asked if there's any truth to the rumors that Roberts could have a role in the upcoming "Spider-Man" reboot, guess which answer the young actress fell back on?

"You never know," she told MTV. "I'm saying the truth — you never know!"

Asked again if she's met with anybody on the "Spider-Man" team, Roberts didn't disappoint: "You never know!"

If there is truth to rumors of Roberts' involvement, she's certainly keeping quiet for now. But there are aspects of the superhero franchise that Roberts was able to discuss, such as her personal level of familiarity with comic books.
