There's an inevitable trajectory for attractive women who don't quite accomplish Julia Roberts or Reese Witherspoon levels of fame. They make a handful of romantic comedies, a handful of action movies playing the token hot woman, and then begin the inexorable slide into the horror movie you won't know exists until it shows up on cable in five years.
Such seems to be the case with Jessica Biel, who JoBlo reports has signed on for the indie thriller The Tall Man, which is currently shooting in Canada. Pascal Laugier, behind the French thrillers Martyrs and House of Voices, is directing his own screenplay, about the legendary "Tall Man" rumored to be kidnapping children in a small village. Biel will play a woman on a hunt for her son, joined in the cast by Stephen McHattie, William B. Davis, Samantha Ferris and Jodelle Ferland.
