Salma Hayek makes a stylish entrance in lacy mini at McQueen fashion show

The Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2010 show is one of the hottest tickets at Paris FashionWeek this year as fashionistas clamber to see the label's new designer Sarah Burton's debut collection.

So with her husband co-owning the label, it was no surprise to see Hollywood star Salma Hayek seated in a coveted place on the front row tonight.

The Mexican actress, 44, made a stylish entrance in a black and nude lace mini dress and killer heels as she accompanied billionaire husband François-Henri Pinault to Mrs Burton's first collection for the McQueen label following the death of British designer Alexander McQueen in February.

Inside the Palais De Tokyo in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, the couple checked out Burton's designs alongside British Vogue editor Alexander Shulman, fashion critic Hilary Alexander and model Annabelle Neilson - who was McQueen's muse.

Burton's collection was evidently softer than McQueen's previous designs and took this season's inspiration from nature, with feathers, butterflies and leaves woven into the gowns.

Shulman said afterwards: '(Burton) has taken away the angst and drama of the McQueen woman. All she had to do tonight was too say "I'm here, this is my woman" and I thought she did that perfectly.'

Since Paris Fashion Week kicked off last week, Hayek and Pinault have been spotted at several shows, including Stella McCartney and Yves Saint Laurent on Monday.

Mr Pinault, 48, is the CEO of retail and luxury clothing firm PPR, the parent company of some of fashion's biggest names, including Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Sergio Rossi.

The company also owns 50 per cent of McCartney's label, as well as the McQueen brand.
