In early 2010, the island nation was struck by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake, which led to thousands of Haitians losing their homes.
In a video posted on her official YouTube page, Gomez insisted that more financial aid is needed now because the country's humanitarian crisis is ongoing.
She continued: "While I thank each and every one of you for coming together one year ago for the Hope for Haiti Now telethon where we raised $66m (£42m), unfortunately, when rebuilding an entire nation the money goes fast and Haiti still needs our help."
UNICEF's 'Haiti365' fund is seeking to raise more than $127m (£81m) by the end of the year in order to assist those who have been displaced from their homes in the wake of last year's natural disaster.
